Cambodia youngsters nowadays seem to support korean entertainment very much. Most of the fashion and style of korean are being followed. Korean song has been translate into khmer song such as "Nobody want you" and so on. However, this will have bad effect to khmer culture and khmer arts also.
abt the translation of the song, the new song of 2NE1 call "try to copy me" seem was compose for our khmer artist! they sound like "please copy frm me again if u can, but bitch, u cant! lolz"!
if it really means so, it's a copier embarrassment. copier should shame of their actions. refers to khmer, we are not too stupid to create our own original, yet they are cheaply copy and copy. if cannot make a song, should not be an artist. what an embarrassment
as we can see the culture of copying other country's style is the habbit of khmer, dont mean that khmer is didnt have their own, but we never think of it ourself. korea culture become popular that fast in our country and other asia country cos they also asia, they would think that asia culture would be same, and the copyin is much easier!
not khmer, but every country in this universe is exchanging culture. but just we have to think which is good to take in and push the bad thing, then make an amendment to be fit in our khmer society. korean singers is getting more and more popularity in asia and eruop i think. as RAIN, he's also becoming movie star in eruop as well. u can see their song and dancing style is fabulous. their young singers are so pretty. one more important thing is the media. in khmer we see korean star very often specially TV. new taste but great!
